Presenation of Cheque by Noor Ul Islam Trust to the Big Push Appeal at Whipps Cross University Hospital

Worshippers at Noor Ul Islam donated more than £6,000 towards the Big Push Campaign for funds at the local Materniy Unit. 

Lucy Moore, Chief Executive at Whipps Cross, said: “This generous donation to The Big Push will make a real difference to the local families who use the Maternity Unit.

“We’re delighted to receive the kind and continued support of Noor UI Trust and take this opportunity to thank them for their encouragement and fantastic contribution.”

Yusuf Hansa, Chairman of Noor UI Islam Trust presented the cheque for £6,135 to Lucy Moore, Chief Executive at the hospital at a brief ceremony on Monday 17 May 2010, which was attended by members of the Trust and staff from the unit.

The representatives from the Trust then received a tour of the new developments of the unit, which include a bereavement suite and partner’s resting area.

More than 5,000 families will use the Whipps Cross maternity services this year – that’s 100 families a week who would benefit from the improved spaces and state of the art equipment that The Big Push will fund.
