salaam,
I have never been to the swimming pool, is there only one pool? How many people attend teh brothers sessions as i dont want to turn up and not be able to get in.
April 20th, 2010 at 7:35 pm
As Salaamu alaikum
There is just the one non-standard shaped pool. The most we can accomodate is 200 people. Usually it does not reach that number. However on exceptionally hot days we have had more than this so had to turn people away.
If you arrive there by 5:15pm, you should get a place without problem, insha Allaah.

About the swimwear for sisters, can u wear the standard swimsuit found in the high street (swim shorts ith a swim top)or do we have to wear something that cover the whole body?
Do we need to register or can we arrive on the day?
Jazakallahkhairan
May 6th, 2010 at 7:55 pm
As Salaamu alaikum
Whilst there are different scholarly opinions, we ask sisters to cover the whole body. We have swimsuits available that do this, as do shops like Islamic Impressions and even some supermarkets.
You do not need to register for the sessions -just turn up on the day. People are only turned away in the unlikely event of the pool being full, but this is rare. To be on the safe side though, do arrive on time.
May 18th, 2010 at 9:49 pm
are girls under 7 required to wear swimming costume covering from neck to ankles or can they wear one that shows legs?
May 20th, 2010 at 11:10 am
It is not compulsory for younger girls to be completely covered. However we do have the approved swimwear for girls, from the ages of 5 years old – which is our preference.
